Beginners Age 4-12

Pre-school Beginners:  (4 and 5 years)  This class is for four and five year olds who cannot swim.  Daily themes and floatation aids create fun-filled lessons to teach the children how to move through the water ten feet.  Final Goals: *Head High Breath, *Independent Back Float, *Kick 5 Feet, *Independent Jump Turn Swim and *Independent 10 Feet Swim.

Beginners:  (6 years and up)  This class is for six years and up who cannot swim.  Floatation aids are used to teach students to swim ten feet and to begin to get one front breath.  Final Goals: *Head High Breath, *Independent Back Float, *Kick 5 Feet, *Independent Jump Turn Swim and *Independent 10 Feet Swim.

Advanced Beginners:  (4 and up)  This class is for four years and up who already can swim ten feet.  They will work on distance, breathing and treading water in this class.  Final Goals: *Independent Rollover Breath, *Tread Water 10 seconds, *Surface Streamline 5 ft. and *Independent Swim 15-20 Feet.

Super Beginners:  (4 and up)  This class is for four years and up who are capable of swimming 15-20 feet.  Students will learn rolling breaths to prep for side breathing.  They will also begin to learn the whip kick for the elementary backstroke.  Final Goals: *Independent Rolling Breath, *Face in Front Kick Glide with Noodle Handle 10 Feet, *Whip Kick with Kick board and *Independent Swim 20-30 Feet.

X-treme Beginners:  (4 and up)  This class is for four years and up who swim 20-30 feet and roll to side for a breath.  They will be mastering the elementary backstroke and unilateral breathing.  Final Goals: *Independent Unilateral Breathing, *Elementary Backstroke and *Independent Swim 30 Feet.
